"The Deer Professor"
As a boy growing up in the country, I was always around animals and spent most of my time outdoors. My dad shared his love for hunting with me that planted the seed for my life now. I was taught respect for the woods and all of the creatures in it. My teenage years became busy with school and sports, but I always made time for my inner passion, hunting. Of all the types of hunting to choose from, whitetail hunting was by far the most exciting to me.
Some people used to call me a deer geek because I was so obsessed with deer. I seem to have an uncanny connection with them; I can’t explain it. When I was in my 20’s I started raising whitetail. It soon went from a hobby to my career. The last 18 years of my life has revolved around deer. It’s not just a business to me, it’s a way of life. My wife and kids are all involved on the farm, from bottle-feeding fawns to wrestling bucks. Along with creating Border Crossing Scents' products, I currently design and breed genetic whitetail lines, direct & manage Paradice Hunt Club, and consult deer ranches & free ranging land all over the country.
